A click or pop is the result of dust or scratches on the surface of the vinyl, or an intermitant voltage spike during the recording process. The number of samples affected is typically quite low, only 10 to 50 samples. In general, the distortion is so large, relative to the original signal, that there is no hope of just removing the "noise" created by the click or pop. We must resort to esimating what the original data values were before the click or pop occurred. Removal of clicks and pops is composed of 2 problems:
1) Finding the clicks and pops automatically
2) Repairing the damaged audio data
